School Aged Camps

Summer Sampler (Grades K to 5)

June 30th to July 3rd, 9:00am to Noon OR 1:00pm to 4:00pm
No Class Thursday, July 4th

Join us for 1 to 4 days. A great plan for kids who want to try something new or families who need a flexible holiday week schedule. Each day there will be different projects based on a variety of different mediums. Get a taste of what else we will be offering this summer! When registering, please be sure to specify AM or PM class. A week consists of any combo of 4 AM and/or PM classes.

Daily Fee: $35, Daily Materials: $5

Class Fee: $130, Materials Fee: $20 (For the 4-day program)

Prints, Posters and Graphics Galore (Grades 3 to 6)

July 21st to July 25th, 9:00am to Noon

Paper, prints, stamps and stencils; become a graphic designer the old-fashioned way. Make stencils and printing plates to design t-shirts, posters, cards and more. Screen printing, embossing and mixed media will be covered. Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $24 (includes t-shirts).


Draw 5 (Grades K to 5)

Grades K to 2: June 23rd to June 27th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Grades 3 to 5: July 7th to July 11th, 9:00am to Noon

See as an artist sees! This week of 2-D adventures. Learn the basic drawing skills needed to translate the world around us onto paper and how to express your thoughts through images! A fun, challenging, and unique week! Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $10


Go Green (Grades K to 3)

August 4th to August 8th, 9:00am to Noon

Reduce, reuse, recycle and create! Learn how to use simple household 'trash' to create amazing art and useful 'new' objects. Make paper from used paper, recycle old candles, give new life to old T-shirts and help out Earth in the process. Best of all No Materials fee (a list of recyclables will be included in confirmation, for kids to collect for Camp).

Rainbow of Color (Grades K to 2)

July 21st to July 25th 1:00pm to 4:00pm

From pastels to paints and everything in between, the world of color will be wide open as we explore color in multiple mediums to create amazing works of art. Masterpieces will abound in this 'colorful' camp.
Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $14.


Muddy Days (Grades K to 5)

Grades K to 2 (no trip): July 7th to 11th, 9:00am to Noon
Grades 3 to 5: August 4th to August 8th, 9:00am to Noon

Get down and dirty in this full week of working with clay. We will work with several types of clay including clay native to our own Connecticut River! Prepare to be messy. There will be a field trip (for grades 3 to 5 only) on one day to dig clay at a local bed - permission slips will be given out during the first class with the details. Other sections will use the same clay but w/out the trip.

Paint Perfect (Grades K to 5)

Grades K to 2: July 14th to 18th, 9:00am to Noon
Grades 3 to 5: June 23rd to June 27th, 9:00am to Noon

Never thought that you could paint? This fun filled week of painting is a dream come true! Use brushes, sponges, sticks and more, from patterns to pictures - lines to landscapes!
Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $14


Comics, Cartoons and Characters (Grades 2 to 5)

August 11th to August 15th, 9:00am to Noon

Caricatures and creating comic strips is what we will dive into in this comical week. Peanuts, Looney Toons, and our own imaginary friends will come to life as we learn to draw, tell stories and express ourselves. No Magna or Anime will be covered only the classics. If you have taken this camp before please indicate as such on your registration form so we do not repeat the same images. Older kids will create more original characters and their own comic book. New this year--create an animates 'cell' like old time cartons were made of!

Krafty Kids (Grades K to 5)

Grades K to 2: June 23rd to June 27th, 9:00am to Noon
Grades 3 to 5: August 4th to August 8th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Love to craft? This program will introduce you to new crafting mediums and help expand on ones you may already know. Decoupage, woodworking, fiber art and more to explore in this exciting program! Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $18


Superheroes, Monsters and Aliens (Grades 2 to 5)

July 28th to August 1st, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

From Spiderman to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Gargoyles to the creatures from Mars and beyond! We will delve into the world of fantasy and create characters in both 2-D cartooning styles and 3-D sculpture. Kids will create backstories for their characters and give them a personality. We will also make costumes that will be the envy of everyone at ComicCon or Halloween! Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $22


Silly Sculpture (Grades 2 to 5)

July 14th to July 18th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

This camp is designed for the child who is interested in making 3D objects. We will be working in Model Magic, Sculpey, balsa foam, wood and much more. A must for any kid into Play-Doh, Lego and the all important toilet paper tubes! Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $20


Art in Nature (Grades K to 2)

August 11th to August 15th, 9:00am to Noon

Look at nature as a true artistic masterpiece; use a stick to paint, a nut to sculpt, a feather to create prints. See that a leaf is more than just a green shape. This awesome course will let you see the world through new eyes! Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $18


Creative Closet (Grades K to 5)

Grades K to 2: July 7th to July 11th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Grades 3 to 5: June 23rd to June 27th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Learn the art of working with textiles. Kids will create using tie-dye, faux screen-prints, batik and stamping techniques. We will make our own tote bags from scratch and many other accessories. A great camp to introduce anyone to the world of fashion and creating your own, signature look! Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $24


Fantasyland (Grades 3 to 5)

July 7th to July 11th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Everything fantasy from magical worlds to alien ones and every-thing in between— we will cover all kinds of fantasy genre like fairies and wizards, dwarves and dragons— and maybe even a uni-corn or two. We will use different media in the projects the rein-force the concepts we discuss. Both 2D and 3D projects.

Disney Magic (Grades K to 3)

July 28th to August 1st, 9:00am to Noon

Whether it the princesses or a small world, we will explore the wonderful world of Disney magic with projects from classic movies to theme park rides. Even the Disney of the past with Steamboat Willie! We will create animation cells, characters sculptures and so much more. If you've been to a Disney park or are still dreaming of the day, this is the camp for you! Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $20


Everything Animals (Grades K to 3)

August 4th to August 8th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Everyday kids will discover a new animal or even two—-we will explore science facts and do hands-on projects to support them. A few furry, feathered and finned friends will visit as well. Class Fee $175, Materials Fee $14


Paper, Pencil, Cut & Color (Grades K to 3)

August 11th to August 15th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

This NEW camp will explore the wonders of drawing and color. Kids will learn how to draw outlines, create an ‘illustrated’ look to their designs, and then learn how to color their images to create a narrative. This simple but super fun way to learn the art of storytelling through pictures is perfect for our younger campers. By the end of the week a whole 'story' will be created in book form. Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $16


Life's a Beach (Grades K to 2)

July 21st to July 25th, 9:00am to Noon

Can't wait to get to the sand and surf? We will bring it to you! Every day different projects with a beach theme. From making tie dye towels to sand art and everything in between! Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $20


American Girl (Grades 1 to 4)

July 28th to August 1st, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Whether your favorite girl is Saige or your Bitty Baby this class will cover everything American Girl! We will make clothing, learn about historical periods and create all kinds of fun—from projects to adventures! Dolls are 'welcome' to class but only one per day. Dress yourself and your doll for a mess! (dolls can wait in cubbies until camp is over if they don't want to get full of art!). Class Fee: $175, Materials Fee: $24


Studio Time (Grades K to 5)

August 25th to August 29th, 9am to Noon OR 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Wind down the summer and gear up for the school year. This daily, flexible camp pro- gram is perfect to get that last burst of creativity out this summer. Something different each day to spark some creativity and maybe discover a new medium you want to sign up to learn more about this fall. A week consists of any combo of 5 AM and/or PM classes)
