Clay Play Sculpt Away (Grades K to 2)

A 3-Dimentional where we will experience clay of all sorts! From natural mud based to polymer and everything in between.

Comics, Cartoons & Caricatures (Grades 2 to 5)

Caricatures and creating comic strips is what we will dive into in this comical week. Peanuts, Looney Toons, and our own imaginary friends will come to life as we learn to draw, tell stories and express ourselves. No Magna or Anime will be covered only the classics. If you have taken this camp before please indicate as such on your registration form so we do not repeat the same images. Older kids will create more original characters and their own comic book. New this year – create an animates “cell” like old time cartons were made of!

See as an artist sees! This week of 2D adventures, learn the basic drawing skills needed to translate the world around us onto paper and how to express your thoughts thru images! A fun, challenging, and unique week!

Muddy Days (Grades K to 2)

Get down and dirty in this full week of working with clay. We will work with several types of clay including clay native to our own Connecticut River! Prepare to be messy.

Creative Closet (Grades K to 2)

Learn the art of working with textiles. Kids will create tie-dye, faux screen-printing, batik and stamping. We will make our own tote bag from scratch and many accessories. A great camp to introduce anyone to the world of fashion and how to create your own look!

Art in Nature (Grades 3 to 5)

Look at nature as a true artistic masterpiece; use a stick to paint, a nut to sculpt, a feather to create prints. See that a leaf is more than just a green shape. This awesome course will let you see the world through new eyes!

Join us for 1 to 4 days. A great plan for kids who want to try something new or families who need a flexible holiday week schedule. Each day there will be different projects based on a variety of different mediums. Get a taste of what else we will be offering this summer!
When registering, please be sure to specify AM or PM class. A week consists of any combo of 4 AM and/or PM classes.

Whether it the princesses or a small world, we will explore the wonderful world of Disney magic with projects from classic movies to theme park rides. Even the Disney of the past with Steamboat Willie! We will create animation cells, characters sculptures and so much more. If you’ve been to a Disney park or are still dreaming of the day, this is the camp for you!

GO! To this adventurous camp that is everything Pokémon related! From making character sculptures, to card holders to posters, t shirts and more. Multi media for the artist who cant get enough of Pokémon!

Paper, Pencil, Cut & Color (Grades K to 2)
July 17th to July 21st, 1:00pm to 4:00pm
This NEW camp will explore the wonders of drawing and color. Kids will learn how to draw outlines, create an ‘illustrated’ look to their designs, and then learn how to color their images to create a narrative. This simple but super fun way to learn the art of storytelling through pictures is perfect for our younger campers. By the end of the week a whole ‘story’ will be created in book form.

This science based space themed camp will focus on subjects like constellations, black holes, planets and more. Each day we will work on projects to compliment the topic of the day. All projects will be multimedia.

Whether your favorite girl is Saige or your Bitty Baby this class will cover everything American Girl! We will make clothing, learn about historical periods and create all kinds of fun—from projects to adventures! Dolls are ‘welcome’ to class but only one per day. Dress yourself and your doll for a mess! (dolls can wait in cubbies until camp is over if they don’t want to get full of art!)

A fell week of focusing on planting projects and the outdoors! We will create projects on Décor for your lawn, windchimes and more. With everything being inspired by nature—bees to birdhouses—pots to plants. You’ll get down and dirty in this fun camp!

We will delve into the world of fantasy and create characters in both 2-d cartooning styles and 3-d sculpture. Kids will create backstories for their characters and give them a personality. We will also make costumes that will be the envy of everyone at ComiCon or Halloween!

Are you a wizard? Or just a muggle – you may start out as a muggle, but you’ll leave as a wizard after this fun week of everything Potter! From creating potions and wands to playing Quidditch – this wizardly week is for the Potter fan in all of us.

There should be holidays in summer don’t you agree? In this class– There are! With the holiday season never ending, we will create projects from popular holidays to some more obscure ones. Taking a secular approach but still exploring the cultural aspects, we will make everything from ornaments and eggs –from dreidels to Buddhas and candles Help us bring some holiday cheer to this camp!

The week before schools open will excite and delight! Each day we will have a different theme and we’ll even use some leftovers from our other camp sessions – many forms of media will be covered in this camp – register by the day or the whole week!
